Bakeout for vacuum

Bakeout of a vacuum system is essential to eliminate moisture and other contamination and therefore improve vacuum performance. There are several ways of baking a system with each method having its own specific advantages.

VG Scienta offer a range of bakeout heaters and accessories. For conventional bakeout of system components, a range of heater tapes in various lengths and voltages are offered. Heater tapes are flexible enough to be wound round objects allowing bakeout of unusually shaped components.

For existing or new systems, ceramic bakeout heaters are the ideal method to be used in oven configurations, offering effective and rapid high temperature bakeout.
