VG Scienta spectrometers have time after time set new standards for the achievable. We take pride in our history as world leading instrument developers and are now proud to welcome a new member to the VG Scienta spectrometer family: the ARTOF 10k, an electron spectrometer designed for fast and high resolution ARPES. The VG Scienta ARTOF 10k is a angle resolving time of flight spectrometer.
By using VG Scienta’s world leading skills in electron lens design and a delay-line detector the ARTOF 10k presents unchallenged performance in both energy and angular resolution, in combination with previously unparalleled electron transmission.
The theoretical energy resolution at 2 eV kinetic energy is better than 150 μeV, which makes the ultimate resolving power, Ekin/ΔE, of the analyzer > 10,000. This number is accompanied by an angular resolution of 0.08°. Hence, the ARTOF 10k is truly perfecting the ARTOF spectroscopy. The ARTOF 10k instrument has been tested at the BESSY synchrotron in Berlin, Germany. The results are available on the ARTOF 10k results page.
The ARTOF 10k is a new ultra high resolution electron energy analyzer for fast 2D band mapping. The instrument design combines the flight tube of a time of flight spectrometer with VG Scienta electron optics and becomes a spectrometer for Angular Resolved Time Of Flight (ARTOF) measurements. It requires a pulsed photon source with a maximum repetition rate of 1.5 MHz. The ARTOF 10k simultaneously improves energy resolution, angular resolution as well as transmission. On to product page
