Stainless steel analysis chamber

stainless_chamber_01VG Scienta stainless steel analysis chambers are always provided with a mu-metal liner. As an option a second mu-metal liner can be added giving the increased magnetic shielding required for certain experiments. This flexibility makes the chamber upgradable and suitable for everything from high energy XPS to low energy laser-ARPES.









VG Scienta Stainless steel analysis chamber with single mu-metal liner


VG Scienta has a long tradition of system design and VG Scienta will therefore fully guarantee the performance of Scienta electron spectrometers in such an analysis chamber. A VG Scienta stainless steel chamber with single mu-metal liner has a guaranteed residual magnetic field lower than 0.5 microTesla.

Custom designed chamber based on the VG Scienta design. The chamber will be made of Stainless steel grade AISI 316 L (Flanges: AISI 304) and provided with a single mu-metal liner. The chamber is delivered leak tested with protective covers will cover all open flanges.

VG Scienta Second mu-metal liner


A second mu-metal liner for VG Scienta stainless steel analysis chamber can be added to the analysis chamber with single mu-metal liner mentioned above. This will enhance the magnetic shielding and improve the stability of angular mode (ARPES) measurements especially at electron kinetic energies below 10 eV. A VG Scienta stainless steel chamber with double mu-metal liners has a guaranteed residual magnetic field lower than 0.1 microTesla.
