Scripting Option

The scripting option allows the user to write scripts in either Basic or Pascal to allow automation of tasks, and to call external OLE servers such as Microsoft office products.

Supported Languages

There are two options:
Basic Language
Pascal Language

Editor

There is a full syntax highlighted editor built into the system, and all scripts can be saved into the database so there are no problems with file management.

Debugger

There is full support for debugging, including single stepping, watches on variables and break points.

Typical Uses

Typical uses may involve the automated collection of RGA data along with data from external sources such as system temperature or pressure, or for controlling a remote-monitoring instrument. The ability to use scripts allows the user to utilise off-the-shelf OLE server applications; alternatively the user can develop in-house solutions.
