The VG Scienta R3000 unit is a highly flexible analysis tool is optimized for quick PES measurements and band mapping. It features a modern fire wire CCD camera detection system for high data transfer and ease of upgrade. The high voltage electronics provides ultra stable conditions for reliable accurate measurements. The unit can be operated in “Quick Mode” where a spectrum can be recorded within seconds by taking a snap shot of the detector image, covering 12% of the pass energy. The analyzer is housed in a state of the art mu-metal vessel which gives a compact footprint.
The VG Scienta R3000 is a 135 mm mean radius hemispherical electron analyzer with wide angle acceptance lens for high troughput measurements. The analyzer is equipped with six interchangeable slits for optimal balance between best intensity and best energy resolution. The standard slit selection is: 0.2c, 0.4c, 0.8c, 1.3s, 3s and 0.2s where s=straight slit and c=curved slit.
The analyzer is also equipped with a real time read-out and electronic analyzer lens X,Y deflectors for diagnostics and experiment optimization purposes. A 2-D low noise digital CCD-MCP detector system (1300x1000 pixel) with a noise level.
