Analysis Chambers
VG Scienta makes custom designed analysis chambers for electron spectroscopy. In order to provide the best possible experiment environment the chambers are magnetically shielded using mu-metal. Analysis chambers made of mu-metal as well as of stainless steel are offered. The stainless steel model is equipped with one or two mu-metal liners depending on the demands set by the science of interest.
VG Scienta has a long tradition of designing analysis chambers. The accumulated knowledge allows us to guarantee a magnetic residual field smaller than 0.01 microTesla when using a double liner. This extremely good shielding is required to achieve the best possible resolution and angular stability when doing spectroscopy on low kinetic energy electrons (<10 eV). For XPS measurements the 0.5 microTesla provided by a single mu-metal liner is sufficient.
VG SCIENTA Stainless steel analysis chamber
VG Scienta stainless steel analysis chambers are always provided with a mu-metal liner. As an option a second mu-metal liner can be added giving the increased magnetic shielding required for certain experiments. This flexibility makes the chamber upgradable and suitable for everything from high energy XPS to low energy laser-ARPES. On to product page
VG SCIENTA Mu-metal analysis chamber
A mu-metal analysis chamber based on the VG Scienta design provides excellent magnetic shielding for XPS and UPS measurements. All VG Scienta analysis chambers are designed in close collaboration with the customer to ensure user satisfaction and best possible performance in the experiment. On to product page |
